Day#3 in Spain comes to a close with the Alabama ODP teams arriving at the City of Futbol, the home of the Spanish National Teams. After touring the historic city of Toledo today, the players and supporters will be staying at the City of Futbol for the next two nights before heading north to San Sebastián. Tomorrow’s events include another training session with the Real Madrid Academy coaches, the first friendly match of the week, and a tour of the Bernabeu.
The Alabama ODP teams wrapped up Day #5 in Spain with a training session this morning with the Real Sociodad Academy coaches, a tour of the stadium, and a friendly match back at the Real Sociodad training grounds. The teams are in San Sebastián and even got to visit the beach and tour the “old town” today. The boys played fantastic to a 0-0 draw yesterday and a 1-1 draw today. Meanwhile, the ladies lost 0-3 yesterday and won 1-0 today. Both teams improved throughout each session and match; the girls really showed some fortitude in their victory today. Congrats to all players and coaches! #alabamaodp2spain
