PHS XC at State: GOOD TIMES!

11/11/17:  WOW – what a great finish to a very exciting and successful XC season!  Every Prattville XC runner that competed at the 2017 State Championship Meet had/ran a “good time”, whether it was running the 2nd fastest time in Prattville history, running a career PR, running a Season Best, running a team score, or running to beat one more

10/14/17:  On this humid Saturday morning, the Prattville cross country men’s and women’s teams competed at the Warhawk XC Challenge held on the beautiful trails of the AUM campus in Montgomery. PHS Runners Earn 5 Medals & 19 PRs at Jesse Owens Classic

Saturday 10/7/17:  The Prattville cross country teams competed at the Jesse Owens Classic in Danville, Alabama in which over 200 schools from 5 states participated.  Prattville was impressive with five Top-10 finishes and 19 new PRs (personal records).  Standout performances include the following: Senior Wes Domsalla raced in the Men’s Red Division among 498 runners from 39 schools. 

PHS Runners Show Their Speed at Gulf Coast XC Stampede

9/23/17:  Prattville runners, check your results:  You get a PR!  You get a PR!  You get a PR! . . . And so it went this weekend when the Prattville cross country teams traveled to Pensacola, Florida to compete in 4 divisions at the Gulf Coast XC Stampede among almost 1000 runners from 48 schools.

PHS XC Lady Lions – Runner Up at St. Clair County Invitational

9/16/17 PHS Women’s XC:  Oops, they did it again!  The Prattville women’s cross country team follows up their 2nd place finish in Opelika last Saturday with another hard earned 2nd place finish at the St. Clair County Invitational this Saturday. The Lady Lions edged out Hewitt-Trussville by one point to secure the runner up position.

2016 Cross Country Season Crosses Finish Line

The 2016 Cross Country season wrapped up Thursday night at the team banquet.  It was a wonderful yet emotional evening filled with celebration, recognition, and reflection. After a tasty pot luck dinner, Head Coach Rachael Batts and Coach Jordan Arkle handed out medals and t-shirts to each athlete by grade saving the seniors for last.  Nineteen seniors

PHS XC Runners Make Personal Strides at States

The women’s varsity team as well as 4 runners from the men’s team qualified and competed at the AHSAA State Championship meet that was held last Saturday Nov 12th at the Jesse Owens course in Danville Alabama.  It was a beautiful, crisp morning perfect for setting PR’s.
