Crisp, cool autumn finally arrived Saturday morning just in time for the Auburn Tiger Classic cross country race held at Keisel Park where the ASHAA 7A Section state qualifying race will be held in less than 2 weeks.   From the following results, Prattville’s prospects for qualifying for states are very promising! On Saturday’s perfectly cool & overcast morning, the Prattville women’s cross country team earned 2nd place in the 5A-7A Division of the AUM Warhawk XC Challenge held on AUM’s campus in Montgomery. On Saturday’s sunny, hot, and humid morning, the Prattville High School men’s & women’s Cross Country teams swept the Stanhope Elmore Mustang Invitational.  The race was held at the Alabama Nature Center at Lanark providing an extremely tough course of hilly and winding trails that produced much slower times than usual.
